Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the latest version of the Dzire on November 11, 2024. The fourth-generation Dzire is expected to be more fuel efficient than the previous model. Now, the company has revealed the fuel efficiency chart of the popular compact sedan. According to the company, the popular compact sedan will be available with petrol and petrol-CNG powertrains, and the Dzire CNG offers 33.73 km/kg.
Maruti Dzire CNG more efficient than Swift CNG
At 33.73 km/kg, the fourth-generation Dzire is more fuel efficient than the third-generation Dzire CNG (31.12 km/kg). It comes with the Z-series 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that also powers the Swift CNG. Notably, the fuel efficiency of the compact sedan is also better than the Swift CNG, which offers 32.85 kg/km. The new Dzire is the fourth most fuel efficient CNG car from Maruti, while hatchbacks like the Celerio CNG (34.43 km/kg), Wagon R (34.05 km/kg) and Alto K10 (33.85 km/kg) are more fuel efficient.
Like most other Maruti models, the Dzire CNG will be sold in mid-spec VXi and ZXi trims. Both will have a 5-speed manual gearbox only; there is no possibility of a Dzire CNG automatic. But this time Maruti has broken the trend by offering a CNG version right from the launch of the new Dzire. The CNG-powered Dzire will compete with cars like the Tigor CNG and Aura CNG in our market. The Dzire CNG is expected to be priced higher than its petrol counterpart by Rs 50,000 to Rs 85,000.
