Raigarh. An effective initiative was taken for new drivers in the learning license camp organized by Raigarh Police and Transport Department at Ramlila Maidan under National Road Safety Month 2025. 423 new learning licenses were issued in the camp, in which drivers from the district and surrounding areas took advantage.
The program was conducted under the direction of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel and under the leadership of Additional SP Akash Markam. Markam provided learning licenses to new drivers and advised them to follow traffic rules and explained the importance of traffic rules to the people present in the camp and appealed to be vigilant on the road and follow the rules. Under the guidance of Additional SP Akash Markam and District Transport Officer Amit Kashyap, the team of Transport Department and Traffic Police made a special contribution in making this camp successful. Transport Sub Inspector Manju Dhruv, Assistant Sub Inspector Daulat Singh Thakur of Traffic Police Station, Head Constable Mukesh Chauhan, Jitendra Joshi, Chandrahash Nayak, Rajesh Gupta, Constable Vijay Sidar and Manish Minj were included, who conducted the camp in a systematic manner. Additionally, data entry operator Vinay Bhagat and Durga Pradhan from the iRad team also provided technical and managerial support to the program. The camp not only gave legal recognition to drivers, but also gave the message of giving priority to road safety. This initiative is an excellent example of coordinated efforts of the police and the transport department to promote discipline and safety on the road.
