Raipur. In the assembly today, Deputy CM and Panchayat Minister Vijay Sharma has announced the suspension of 5 people in a road construction case. He has also announced to recover the money from the contractor and file an FIR against him. The matter is of Dantewada district.
This matter was raised by BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar during the question hour in the House. He had asked that when was the tender/re-tender for Korkoti road construction work and access road part-1 and 2 from village Hiroli to Help Center done under the Pradhan Mantri Road Scheme approved from DMF funds under District Construction Committee, Dantewada and what is its cost amount? When was the work order issued and tell the name and address of its agency and proprietor? Under the scheme, at what rate was the soil work to be done under the contract and at what rate was it done and what was the cost? Has a complaint been received regarding irregularities in road construction? If yes, then what irregularities were found and who is responsible for them and what action was taken on them by whom?
On this, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma said that this work is not approved under the DMF head under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana but this work is approved under the Special Central Assistance head to the District Construction Committee. “BT road construction work from main road to Korkoti (Part- 01 to 13), and BT road construction work from Madkamiras to Hiroli Health Center 3.50 km. (Part 01), BT road construction work from Hiroli Health Center to Hiroli Camp Dokapara 3.50 km. (Part 02). The minister accepted receiving a complaint in this matter. He said that the first level investigation has been done by Collector Dantewada by forming a 05-member team under the chairmanship of Sub-Divisional Officer, Revenue, whose physical verification mentions irregularities in earthwork, GSB, asphalting work, WBM and solder work, culvert cum retaining wall. Chandrakar asked about the payment in a supplementary question, he wanted to know whether the contractor has been paid more. On this, the minister informed about payment less than the cost rate. After this the minister said that Action has been taken against 5 officers on the basis of complaint.
EE Anil Rathore has retired and investigation is being done against him. Executive Engineer Damodar Singh Sidar will be suspended and departmental investigation will be done. Tareshwar Diwan SDO will be suspended and departmental investigation will be done. RB Patel Assistant Engineer will be suspended and departmental investigation will be done. One Deputy Engineer has passed away. Ravikant Sarathi Deputy Engineer has been suspended. Recovery and FIR order has been given against the contractor. During the question answer session in this matter, Chandrakar accused of hiding corruption, to which the minister also retorted sharply. Due to this, there was uproar in the House.
