Andhra Pradesh: Four employees have been suspended for negligence in duty at the Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) in Mangalagiri, Vijayawada. This action was taken under an order issued on Friday by G. Veerapandian, Health Commissioner and Director-in-Charge of the IPM.
According to information, this strict action has been taken due to negligence in work and violation of rules at the institute. The administration has made it clear that any kind of negligence in duty will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken if such incidents occur in the future.
The suspended employees include D. Sirisha (Office Superintendent), G. Akhil, Sangita Rao, and J. Sujatha (all Senior Assistants). All of them have been accused of negligence in duty at various levels.
Office Superintendent D. Sirisha is accused of taking leave without permission and delaying the processing of financial benefits for a retired employee. According to the administration, this is a case of serious administrative negligence that impacted government work.
The remaining three employees, G. Akhil, Sangeeta Rao, and J. Sujatha, have been charged with negligence in their duties and failure to complete their work on time. The investigation found that these employees failed to properly perform their assigned responsibilities.
Health Department officials state that discipline and timely performance are crucial in government institutions. Keeping this in mind, this action has been taken to send a clear message to other employees.
The IPM administration has also indicated that work procedures will be monitored in the future and stricter action will be taken against any employee found negligent.
