Jajpur: For the first time, 30 drivers from Odisha have been selected to drive cars in Japan. They have been selected from four heavy vehicle driving training centers established by the Odisha government. Most of the drivers have been selected from the driving training institute located at Chhatia in Jajpur district. 180 drivers who passed out from four heavy vehicle training centers established by the Odisha government participated in the selection. In the first phase, 30 drivers from Odisha have been selected to work in Japan. Most of the drivers have been selected to go to Japan from the Heavy Vehicle Training Institute located at Chhatia in Jajpur district. The institute has modern training facilities, instructors, driving tracks, air-conditioned classrooms, hostels etc. Therefore, the trainees have expressed gratitude to the government as they have been considered worthy of better training. The recruitment process was conducted by the Representative Church of Japan and the country’s leading institution Nevis HR. These drivers will leave from Bengal before going to Japan. There they will be trained in the language, behavior and policies of Japan. Their passports and visas will be arranged.
In this regard, the government will bear an expenditure of Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand per driver.
Odisha is the first state in the country to create such innovative jobs for drivers. The state Commerce and Transport Minister congratulated and wished the drivers for such a success at a program held at Kharvel Bhavan in Bhubaneswar yesterday.
