30 kg silver stolen from jewelry shop, thieves were wearing masks

Bilaspur: Thieves raided a jewelry shop near Navadih Chowk in Sipat and stole 30 kg silver and 200 grams of gold. Meanwhile, the shop owner also returned home from a wedding function. Before he could get out of the car, masked thieves pelted stones at the car. Scared by this, the shop owner called the police. The thieves fled before the police arrived.

The police is searching for the thieves. Damodar Gupta, who lives in Sipat, is a jewelry shop owner. His shop is in front of HDFC Bank on the Sipat main road. The shop owner said that on Monday night he had gone with his family to attend a wedding at an acquaintance’s house. During this time, his shop and house were locked. He reached his home around 2.30 in the night. Before the car could stop in front of the house, some masked people started pelting stones at his car. Scared by this, the shop owner. He stopped the car ahead. He also informed Dial 112 about the incident. On this, the Dial 112 team reached the spot.
