3 quintals of ‘Buffalo Meat’ seized in Gurugram

Gurugram (IANS) | The Gurugram police recovered three quintals of meat from an overturned SUV on Sohna elevated road on Saturday morning. The meat is suspected to be of buffalo. According to the police, they received information on Saturday morning that a Hyundai Venue car had overturned on Sohna Elevated Road.

A police officer said that the police team that reached the spot recovered 3 quintals of meat from the car which overturned in the wrong direction. It is feared that the car overturned due to the driver losing control of the vehicle and fled from the spot by breaking the front glass of the car.

The car reportedly skidded for 50 meters before overturning. Police suspect that there were two people in the car. Police recovered two pairs of shoes from the car. The car number also turned out to be fake.

ACP (Sadar) Sanjeev Balhara said, a case has been registered and further investigation is on.
