India: India is continuously increasing its military strength. Meanwhile, three new INS ships are also going to be included to keep a close watch on the maritime borders and increase the capability of warfare at sea. PM Narendra Modi dedicated three state-of-the-art naval ships INS Surat, INS Nilgiri and INS Vagsheer to the nation at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. INS Surat is a destroyer, INS Nilgiri is a stealth frigate while INS Vagsheer is a submarine.
It is one of the least noisy and versatile diesel and electric submarines. All three have been built at Mazagaon Dockyard in Goa. And these are an example for self-reliant India. All three naval ships are going to prove to be an important base for the Indian Navy. The inclusion of these three naval ships is considered an important step towards realizing India’s dream of becoming a global leader in defense manufacturing and maritime security. Of these three, two are fighter ships and one is a submarine. The Navy also says that they have been designed in such a way that they can be used even in war-like situations. They can also be used for intelligence gathering, surveillance and special operations.
