In the preliminary inquiry by the police, the arrested liquor smugglers told that they want to earn economic benefits by buying this liquor at cheap prices from the state of Punjab and selling it at expensive prices in the districts of Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Meerut and surrounding districts in the upcoming municipal elections. Were. The criminal history of the arrested accused is being inquired by the local police.
Jurisdictional Khatauli Dr. Ravi Shankar said that three accused involved in liquor smuggling have been arrested. In whose possession 35 boxes of illegal liquor Mac Double Whiskey Punjab Marka were found. The cost of banned/illicit liquor is around 3 lakhs.
The officer said that a case has been registered against the three at Mansoorpur police station under relevant sections of the IPC. Further action is being taken.
