Ponda: Kollam Police has arrested three laborers from Chhattisgarh in the case of gang rape of two minor girls from Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred between the midnight of 8 January and the morning of 9 January near the Kollam railway station area. The accused Sana Singh (24), Jai Singh (35) and Devlal Agaria (22), all natives of Chhattisgarh, were arrested by the Kollam police. According to the Kollam police, a complaint has been registered that two girls from Madhya Pradesh, who had come to Goa in search of work, were gang-raped by three youths, who worked as railway double-trackers on contract basis, near Kollam railway station. These two girls from Madhya Pradesh had come to Goa a few days ago in search of work and when they did not get any work, they decided to return to MP. On Monday evening he came to Kollam railway station to catch a train to his native village. When they took the interrogators to a restaurant for dinner, the accused gave them food and also asked them to stop near the railway station. The three accused gave the two girls a place to stay near the railway station area and in the middle of the night the three accused raped them. Later the girls informed the railway police about the incident.
