25 crore people in the country will be freed from poverty: President

President of India Droupadi Murmu said that 25 crore people in the country have been freed from poverty during the last ten years of NDA rule. Addressing
both houses of Parliament on the occasion of the beginning of the Budget Session on Wednesday
, Murmu said that more than 10 crore gas connections have been provided in the country.

The President said that medical services are being provided to crores of people through Ayushman Bharat, farmers
have been given first priority in Vikasit Bharat, and agricultural infrastructure is being improved. He said that the Ji Ram Ji Act has been brought for rural employment generation. He said that the welfare of the backward classes is the first priority of the government. The President said that the Central Government is working towards achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat.

He said that the country is moving forward on the path of reforms with the future in mind.
He said that industrial production is being encouraged under the PLI scheme.
He said that significant progress has been made in electronic products. He revealed that plans are being made to further increase maritime trade. He said that the Indian Army has shown our strength to the world through Operation Sindhur conducted last year.


The President said that the whole world has seen what happens if India is attacked. He revealed that defense exports have increased to a record level after this operation .
