Raipur. The victim Hemant Kumar Sahu lodged a report in Gobra Navapara police station that he lives in Bhathagaon Tikrapara. Gobra had gone to Kalam Kothi Bhavan in Navapara with his wife to attend his brother’s marriage ceremony. The applicant and his wife were staying in the upper room of the Shaadi Bhawan. The applicant’s wife had gone down to attend the wedding ceremony with gold jewelery in her purse. When the applicant’s wife returned to her room from the wedding function at around 10.00 pm, she noticed that the gold jewelery kept inside the purse was missing. An unknown thief had entered the applicant’s room and stolen the said Mashrooka kept inside his wife’s purse. On which crime number 106/24 section 380 IPC has been registered against unknown accused in police station Gobra Navapara. The crime of was registered.
Taking the incident of theft seriously, Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Neeraj Chandrakar, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Pitamber Singh Patel, City Superintendent of Police Atal Nagar Jitendra Chandrakar (APU) and Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha, in-charge Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and police station in-charge Gobra Navapara were directed to trace and arrest the unknown accused as soon as possible. On which, under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Gobra Police Station Gobra Navapara Police started to trace the unknown accused by making detailed inquiries of the applicant and his wife and the people involved in the wedding program in relation to the incident.
Along with inspection of the incident site by the team members, CCTV cameras installed in and around the incident site were also inspected. The footage from the cameras was observed. Efforts were being made by the team members to trace the unknown accused by employing informers in the case. During this time, the team members received important information regarding unknown accused involved in the incident. On which the team members caught Tikrapara resident Bhudhar Sahu alias Sonu and interrogated him strictly regarding the incident, he admitted to committing the said incident of theft along with his partner Shubham Yadav. Both the accused were arrested and gold jewelery worth approximately Rs 1,50,000/- was seized from their possession and action was taken against the accused.
