2 Truck drivers charred to death after major truck accident in Bhawanipatna of Kalahandi district
Kalahandi: Two drivers were gutted in fire after a coal laden truck hit a rice grains-laden truck near Pastikuda of Bhawanipatna under Sadar police station limits in Kalahandi district on Saturday. As the trucks collided a massive fire broke out which engulfed the drivers.
According to information, the truck accident in Bhawanipatna took place early morning around 4.00 am on Saturday. The rice grain carrying truck was stationary, when the coal-laden truck rammed into it. Following the incident, the coal-laden truck caught fire in which the driver was charred to death. The fire was so major that the two trucks were reduced to ashes.
On receiving information, the fire brigade rushed to the spot to douse the fire. However, the massive fire engulfed the lives of the two drivers. However, the exact reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained.
Police reached the spot and seized the burnt trucks and recovered the bodies of the deceased. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained by police. The locals are terrified after seeing the intensity of fire in the truck accident in Bhawanipatna.
