Haryana: Gurugram Police on Thursday arrested two youths red-handed while trying to break into an ATM in Pataudi. The accused were produced in Pataudi court and the police have taken them on one-day police remand.
According to the police, the accused were identified as Aamir and Muqsid of Pachnaka village of Palwal. Aamir already has three cases registered against him under theft and Arms Act.
Police have recovered a screwdriver and an ATM card from the possession of the accused.
According to the complaint lodged by Neeraj Bhardwaj, a businessman from Pataudi, an ATM machine was installed at his other shop. He told that he saw that two youths were roaming around the ATM booth for a long time. Later they entered the booth and tried to withdraw money by tampering with the machine with the help of a screwdriver. After this Bhardwaj pulled down the shutter of the shop and called the police.
The police team led by Inspector Ram Karan, SHO of Pataudi police station, reached the spot and arrested the accused. “We have taken the accused on police remand and are interrogating them,” the SHO said.
