Janjgir Champa. The process of wasting water in Chhattisgarh which started from Parlkot in Kanker is continuing unabated. Somewhere water is being drained by breaking the pond in the name of building a stop dam, somewhere for fishing and somewhere in the name of maintenance, the officers are fulfilling their responsibility by pouring water in the summer. The latest picture has come to the fore in the municipality of Janjgir Champa. Where 19 thousand liters of water collected in the swimming pool was pumped out. When the officers were asked about this, they fulfilled their responsibility by giving rote answers.
The municipality is building a swimming pool in the district since 2016. The time was fixed till 2018 to build a swimming pool at a cost of 1 crore 82 lakhs. But due to the lateness of the contractor and then the wrong map, it was given an extension till 2020. Till then it was fine. But once again the construction of the swimming bridge could not be completed till 2023 by making an excuse of technical flaws. Now, following the instructions of Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary, the exercise to start the swimming bridge in a hurry has been intensified. But it is said to throw away the collected water as bad and clean it with chlorine.
