15 thousand farmers benefited, 81 camps were organized

Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. As per the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, under the “Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan”, agricultural awareness camps were organized on a large scale in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district from 29 May to 12 June 2025. The objective of the campaign was to inform the farmers about advanced techniques and schemes in preparation for Kharif 2025. A total of 81 camps were organized in all the development blocks of the district to benefit 15,878 farmers, including 3,396 women and 12,482 male farmers.
In the camps, information was given about modern techniques like advanced seed varieties, natural farming, bio-pesticides, crop diversification and spraying with drone technology. Farmers were also linked to schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Digital Agriculture, Kisan Credit Card and Soil Health Card distribution. Dr. Khubchand Baghel Krishak Ratna honored and progressive farmers shared their experiences, which inspired other farmers.
Mobile veterinary hospital and demonstration of liquid fertilizers by sisters were also special attractions of the camps. During this, 10 Kisan Credit Cards, 413 Soil Health Cards, 39010 promotional materials and 5647 input materials were distributed. Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Boirdadar, Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Agriculture College Raigarh and officials of Agriculture Department played an important role in making the program successful.
