, The state government has taken several decisions to provide support to Anganwadi workers who play an important role in reducing the maternal-child mortality rate in the state. In this sequence, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to increase the honorarium of 55,816 ASHA assistants of the state by 15 percent from April 1, 2023.
After this increase, the honorarium of ASHA assistants will increase from Rs 3,564 to Rs 4,098 per month. This decision will put an additional annual financial burden of more than Rs 35.76 crore on the state government. It is notable that the Chief Minister had made an announcement in this regard in the budget for the year 2023-24.
