12 people died in a fierce collision of two buses
Odisha | Once again the news of road accident has come to the fore. In Odisha’s Ganjam district, on Sunday, June 25, a fierce collision took place due to two buses coming face to face near Digpahandi. Please tell that 12 people died in this painful accident, out of which 6 men, 4 women and 2 minors are involved and many people were injured. According to the information, the incident took place at 1 am when the wedding procession in Berhampur was returning to Khandadeuli near Digpahandi.
Giving information about the incident, Baharampur SP Saravana Vivek said that the accident happened around 1 am on Sunday night when an ORTC and a private bus collided with each other.
On this matter, the DM of Ganjam said that “a team of police personnel reached the spot and rescued the injured people and shifted them to hospitals.” The same police officer said, “The 12 dead included seven members of the same family and their relatives.” He further said that “the injured are undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital and Digpahandi Hospital and two of them have been referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital Cuttack. Meanwhile, the Special Relief Commission has sanctioned an amount of Rs 30,000 for the treatment of each of the injured.
Let us tell you that on this painful incident, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced to give Rs 3 lakh each to the dead.
