Mumbai (IANS) | Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya shared how he choreographed the song ‘Pushpa – Jhukega Nahi Saala’ from the film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ and said it was inspired by people walking on the roadside. ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is a 2021 Telugu action drama film starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. It stars Fahadh Faasil (in his Telugu debut), and Rashmika Mandanna along with Jagadish Pratap Bandari, Sunil, Raj Tirandasu, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjay, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh in supporting roles. The story revolves around Pushpa Raj, a laborer who smuggles red sandalwood in the Seshachalam hills of Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh.

Ganesh explained how he choreographed the dance sequence: Whenever I travel in a car and see people walking or doing something on the side, I take inspiration from them. One day I saw that some people were standing. One of them was playing with his beard.

Ganesh made his film debut with ‘ABCD: Any Body Can Dance’ and was also appreciated for the choreography of the song ‘Malhari’ from ‘Bajirao Mastani’. He played the lead role in the film ‘Dehati Disco’.

He said, therefore, I told the director that the movement was very nice and impressive. I explained that we could take inspiration from the movements for the first song in the film we were shooting.

Ganesh appeared on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ with makeup artist Mickey Contractor, hairstylist Hakeem Alim, photographer Dabboo Ratnani, fashion and costume designer Neeta Lulla and action director Alan Amin.

‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
