Ambikapur. Paddy procurement is being closely monitored by the administrative team under the direction of Collector Kundan Kumar. For the smooth operation of paddy procurement work, necessary action is being taken against illegal paddy storage and transportation through continuous inspection. As soon as information was received in this regard, a joint team of Revenue Department, Food Department, Mandi Department and Agriculture Department reached village Amadarha of Tehsil Darima and after investigation seized a total of 1000 bags of illegal paddy from grocery shops. SDM Ambikapur Fagesh Sinha said that as soon as the information was received from the informer, two grocery shops were investigated with the team. In which a total of 350 bags of paddy were found stored illegally in the grocery shop of shopkeeper Ramroop, resident of Amadarha.
During the investigation, due to lack of necessary documents, prima facie it was considered illegal and a Panchnama was prepared and confiscation action was taken. Similarly, a surprise inspection was conducted at the shop cum warehouse of Kawalsai Rajwar of village Amadarha, where 650 bags of illegal paddy were found stored in the warehouse. When the team demanded a license to buy and sell paddy, the shopkeeper did not present any kind of document, along with this, permission was also not taken from the market. After which the team prepared Panchnama and seized the paddy. Similarly, in the paddy procurement center Kedma of Udaipur development block, Karam Singh of village Kumdeva was caught consuming 30 quintals of illegal paddy, the action of confiscation was taken by the Food Inspector and RI.
