Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Corporation has announced that 100.29 acres of land have been reclaimed at the Kodungaiyur landfill in Perungudi, Chennai, through the biomining method used for waste segregation.

A press release issued by the Corporation in this regard stated: Waste collected daily from the Chennai Corporation areas had been dumped in the Perungudi and Kodungaiyur areas for many years.
