10 bombs recovered from bag, accused arrested, commotion
Thane: A shocking case has come to light from Thane district of Maharashtra. Where the police have recovered ten country-made bombs from a 45-year-old man, and the police have also arrested the man. A police officer gave this information on Thursday.
Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Shinde of Central Crime Unit said that this action was taken on the basis of an intelligence input. The police came to know from somewhere that this man has country-made bombs. After which the police started a search operation. The police was constantly monitoring the activities of the person and when that person reached near Saket Maidan in the district on December 2, he was caught by the police.
An officer said that during the investigation, the police found 10 country-made bombs in his bag. The officer further said that this person, a resident of Mangaon in Raigad district, had come to Thane to sell explosives. He further said that Rabodi police on Tuesday registered a case against the man under relevant legal provisions for negligence in handling explosives and are investigating the matter.
During interrogation after his arrest, the man said in his statement to the police that he had brought the bombs to sell them by hiding them in wheat flour. He further said that such explosives were used to hunt wild boars, which is common in some rural areas.
