1 Kg Gold: One kilo worth of gold biscuits stolen, maid arrested

Kanpur: The police caught the maid Mansi Vishwakarma who stole 1 kg gold biscuit from the house in Kanpur. The maid broke down after 8 days of CCTV footage. The police told the whole truth. Vipin Singh, a resident of Kalibari Lal Bangla, is a goldsmith. He has a gold testing shop in Sarafa Bazar. Along with this, he also does gold trading. On June 2, he refined 1 kg of gold and kept it in the cupboard of his room. He had gone to show his pregnant wife to the doctor due to ill health. During this, the maid told him that some relatives had come to the house. Due to this, she left the house. Vipin told- When he returned from the doctor at 11 pm, the gold biscuit was missing from the cupboard. Vipin immediately lodged a complaint in the Chakeri police station. Along with this, he also lodged an FIR of theft, suspecting his maid Mansi.

The police took the maid into custody and interrogated her, but she did not break down. After this, the police released her. The police were keeping an eye on every moment of the maid. Her calls were being monitored. After CCTV and other evidence came to light, the police arrested the maid Mansi again. When questioned, she broke down. 1 kg gold biscuits were recovered from her house. After presenting her in the court, she was sent to jail. When the maid Mansi Vishwakarma was called by the Chakeri police after the theft, she clearly denied it. Jeweller Vipin Singh was saying with full confidence that it was the maid Mansi who had stolen his gold. The police released Mansi after questioning. After this, they started monitoring Mansi’s call details and every moment’s activities. During this time, Mansi contacted many relatives and jewellers over the phone to sell her gold. Not only this, she also went to many jewellers’ shops. Based on this, the police interrogated her again and arrested her.
