Youths returning from Raipur to Durg died in a road accident, including an AIIMS employee.

Durg. Two young neighbors living in the same neighborhood died in two road accidents at different locations in the district. The deceased included Punesh Chhanape (23) and Vishal Surjal (27). Both young men were returning from their workplace in Raipur as usual, but were killed in the road accidents before reaching home. In both cases, the accused driver fled the scene. Police are investigating the matter. According to information, the first accident occurred around 9 p.m. on November 28th near Khursipar Gate. Punesh Chhanape, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, worked at AIIMS, Raipur. He usually commuted to Raipur by train, but due to a work delay that day, he decided to travel to Raipur on his bike.

As night fell, he was returning, but an unknown speeding vehicle hit his bike near Khursipar Gate. The accident was so severe that Punesh died on the spot. The driver fled the scene after the incident. Police have launched an investigation based on evidence recovered from the scene.

The second accident also occurred around 9 p.m. near Sai Dham, Kumhari. Vishal Surjal was returning from Raipur to Khursipar on his bike when an unknown vehicle struck his bike. Vishal was seriously injured in the impact. Passersby immediately attempted to rush him to the hospital, but he died on the way. The accused driver fled the scene.
