Youth killed, 2 others critical as bike hits tree in Ganjam

Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a youth was killed while two others sustained critical injury following a bike accident in Ganjam of Odisha on Saturday. The accident took place near Dhobadi village under Sorada Police Station limits in the district.

The deceased youth has been identified as Giridhai Nayak of Badapur village.

As per reports, three persons were going to Tinikhandia village from Badapur village on a bike. Near Dhobadi village the rider lost balance and hit the bike to a roadside tree.

As a result of the collision, Giridhari was killed on the spot while the other two pillion riders sustained critical injury.

Following the accident, the locals rushed to the spot, rescued the injured persons and sent to hospital. After getting information Police reached the spot and initiated probe. The body of the deceased was sent to hospital for autopsy.

Further investigation of the case is underway.
