Youth for Society organizes awareness rally on water conservation
On the occasion of World Water Conservation Day, an awareness rally on saving was organized at the Thousand Pillar Temple on Sunday under the auspices of the Joint Warangal District Youth for Society.
Speaking on the occasion, Youth for Society Telangana President Kodimala Srinivasa Rao and renowned environmentalist Professor Ratansingh Tagore said that this year, the United Nations will organize programs to explain the importance of water and gender equality to the public.
He said that equality increases where water flows, and if water is available to everyone equally, equality and unity will increase in society. He explained that only three percent of the water available to us, out of which only 0.3 percent is suitable for drinking.
They called for saving the available water for future generations by using it sparingly, preserving every drop of rain, and preventing waste. Youth for Society in-charges Devi Sri Prasad, Neeraj, Rutwik, Vishnu, Rohit, Arjun Karthikeya, and Raju participated in the program.
