Youth drowns in stone mine, NDRF finds dead body

Durg. A youth drowned in a mine pond in Nandini police station area of Durg district. SDRF team reached the spot and took him out, but by the time he was taken out, he was already dead. Nandini Police has established a case and taken the matter under investigation. According to the information, a youth named Ashok Yadav (33) drowned in the stone mine of Nandini on Friday morning. Youth Ashok Yadav lived with his brother-in-law and sister in Nandini-Khundini village of Nandini police station area. The young man used to work as a laborer while staying here. It is being told that the young man had gone to take bath in the mine pond early on Friday morning.

After some time, when other people came there to take bath, they saw the dead body of the young man. People nearby called dial 112. Dial 112 team reached the spot and then SDRF Commandant Nagendra Singh was informed. As soon as the information was received, Nagendra Singh immediately sent the SDRF team to the spot. As soon as they reached the spot, the team started the operation to rescue the youth with the help of deep diving. After about 2 hours of hard work the young man was taken out. But by then young Ashok Yadav had died. SDRF team handed over the body to Nandini police. Police sent the body for post-mortem. Nandini police is investigating the matter as to how the deceased Ashok Yadav died.
