Youth commits suicide by hanging after refusing to play DJ

Korba. The matter of stopping a young man from playing DJ in village Jarve became a big deal. The angry young man committed suicide by hanging himself. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after taking legal action, sent the body for post-mortem. The marriage ceremony was being organized at the house of Patel family residing in Jarve Madwarani area, 24 kilometers away from the district headquarters under Urga police station. Brother’s wedding procession was to go from home and sister’s wedding procession was to come from outside the next day. A DJ was installed at home for the wedding ceremony.

Badrinarayan Patel, 18, was banned by his family members for playing DJ till late night. Angered by this, Badrinarayan left the house. After some time, the people of the house came to know that he had committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near the village. When the relatives reached the spot, they saw that Badrinarayan’s body was hanging from a tree. Meanwhile, Urga police also reached the spot as soon as the information was received. After interrogation, the body was post-mortemed and handed over to the relatives for last rites. It is being told that the deceased has two brothers and a sister. Among these, the deceased was the youngest. Due to this, mourning spread in the house where the marriage ceremony took place.
