Youth attacked with trident, uproar ensued
Bilaspur. Three members of the same family attacked a person in a dispute over dues. Pachpedi police have registered a crime against them. Sonau Ram, a resident of village Chilhati, lodged a complaint with the police that he does farming and drives JCB. Recently, he had completed the work of Ganga Prasad Avdheliya’s field, the total amount of which was Rs 29 thousand. Ganga Prasad had paid Rs 13,500 at that time and called him to meet at 6:30 am on September 15 for the remaining amount.
According to Sonau Ram, during the accounting, Ganga Prasad said that he would pay only Rs 4,100, on disagreeing with which Ganga Prasad, his wife Vinita Bai, and their son Golu Avdheliya started abusing him. When Sonau Ram protested against this, the three together threatened to kill him. Golu Avdheliya attacked with a trident, causing serious injuries and bleeding on Sonau Ram’s chest and pakhore (ribs). Amrit Lal and Ramesh Verma intervened during the incident. On Sonau Ram’s complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 115(2), 296, 3(5), and 351(2) of the Indian Penal Code, 2023. The police are investigating the matter.
