Youth arrested with liquor near Abhanpur

Raipur. A youth has been arrested with liquor near Abhanpur. The police team received information that a person was going to his village via Sakhi Mod in front of Sakhi Mode Sahu Hotel near Abhanpur to sell liquor illegally. On which, under the direction of senior officers, Abhanpur police station went to the place mentioned by the informer and conducted a raid and caught him.

On enquiry, he revealed his name as Omprakash Jangde, father Kishun Jangde, age 31 years, resident of Sakin Sikhi police station, Abhanpur district, Raipur. When the team members searched the white plastic bag kept with him, it was found that local Mandira was kept there. When Omprakash Jangde was asked for valid documents regarding keeping/selling liquor, he was continuously trying to mislead the team members by not presenting any document. On which the accused Omprakash Jangade was arrested and 35 paua of local Mandira Masala worth Rs 3850 were seized from his possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 24/2024 under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act in Abhanpur police station.
