Youth abuses Odisha CM Mohan Majhi on social media, issues death threats; Arrested

Keonjhar: A team of Keonjhar district police arrested a youth on charges of allegedly issuing death threats to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday.

Speaking about the development, Keonjhar Superintendent of Police (SP) Nitin Dagudu Kusalkar, the youth, whose identify is kept secret, was arrested for using abusive language against the Chief Minister on social media.

The arrested accused, a resident of Jajpur area, also reportedly issued a death threat to the CM, the SP said adding that he was forwarded to the court after completing the document works.

Kusalkar further said that the police have started an investigation into the matter and the reason behind the youth issuing death threats to the Chief Minister will be ascertained.
