Telibandha Once again wine, dine and dance can be seen till late night and after midnight in the clubs, pubs and restaurants of the capital. About six months ago, some strictness was taken after a shootout between two groups of young men and women from a similar club on VIP Road. All pub, hotel and club operators were warned of cancellation of license if wine is served after 12 o’clock. But till now no action has been taken against even one. Even after that incident, the Home Minister, Collector and SSP had instructed the Excise and Police staff to be strict. But once again, till late night, liquor is being served in pubs and restaurants like Wood Island without license or on old license. That too liquor from outside. Since the tender process for supply of foreign liquor is going on in the state. Therefore, the operators of these clubs and restaurants are secretly ordering and serving it. Which was of expensive brand. Along with the young men, women also clink glasses shoulder to shoulder. There is no objection to anyone going to the club and drinking alcohol, the objection is that sometimes they get into a fight among themselves under the influence of alcohol or they do not hesitate to attack another passerby. Even due to over speed driving under the influence of alcohol, the life of an innocent person is in danger. And the owners of these clubs and restaurants who remain open till late night are responsible for this. Defying repeated government instructions, these clubs remain buzzing till after midnight. And the responsible departments also ignore it.
