Young man who brokered railway tickets arrested, police made big revelation

Raipur/Durg. Durg RPF finally caught the eye of the broker who had been going to the reservation centers and brokering tickets for 2-3 years and after interrogating him, he was taken into custody and a case was registered against him under the section of Railway Act and he was arrested. This entire action has been taken under the guidance of Raipur Railway Division Commandant SK Gupta. According to the information received from RPF, during the campaign against illegal railway ticket traffickers being run by the headquarters, Inspector-in-charge S. K Sinha, Sub Inspector Sanatan Thanapati, Police Inspector Sanjay Ganguly, P.A. N.K Rajput, P.A. V.C. Banjare and P.A. While patrolling and checking the platform number 2 of Durg railway station along with YK Tamrakar, on the basis of information received from the informer, when a person was stopped on the basis of suspicion and asked, he started getting nervous and showed 2 Railway Tatkal Reserved Live Tickets kept with him. And told that he is unemployed for the last 2-3 years and by making Railway Tatkal reserved tickets of AC and Sleeper from different Railway PRS, the needy people are given Rs 300-400 for AC class and Rs 300-400 for Sleeper as additional commission on the ticket price. Agreed to provide tickets for the class at Rs 100-200 per person.

The accused revealed his name as Sandeep Sahu, age 28 years, Police Station-Mohan Nagar District-Durg (Chhattisgarh). When the said person was given notice regarding the railway reserved Tatkal ticket held with him and demanded, he said that he did not have any valid authorization letter and admitted his mistake. On 13.04.24, from Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University Raipur PRS, 1 AC Tatkal ticket for 4 passengers and 1 Sleeper Tatkal ticket for 04 passengers will be made and given to the AC attendant of any LTT going train or a known passenger traveling by Railways. When he came to platform number 2 of the station Durg, the RPF man caught him. On production of the ticket prepared by him on demand, (1) 02 nos. of illegally prepared railway counter journey ticket PNR No. 8616890790. 8216897010 (value Rs. 11,040.00/-), (2) one no. touch from his possession. Skin mobile Vivo 33S was seized and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 774/2024 section 143 Railway Act dated 13.04.2024 at Railway Protection Force Post Durg.
