Young man kills girlfriend’s father in Karnataka

Bagalkot/Karnataka : On Tuesday, a young man stabbed his girlfriend’s father to death in Bhagwati village of Bagalkot district of Karnataka.

Praveen Kamble, a Dalit youth, was in a relationship with the daughter of 52-year-old Sanganagouda Patil, an upper caste man. But, Sanganagouda was not in favor of it. He had warned Praveen Kamble to stay away from his daughter.

A few days ago, Sanganagouda Patil had also beaten up Praveen Kamble when he tried to meet his daughter. After this incident the girl had refused to meet the young man. According to the police, the angry youth attacked Sanganagouda with a knife and killed him. Bagalkot rural police have registered the case and started searching for the accused.
