Young man crushed by illegal sand mining truck, dies painfully

Korba. A person riding a bike died in a road accident on Thursday morning at Risdi Chowk in Korba. It is being told that a tractor filled with sand engulfed the bike. Due to this, the bike rider died on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, Civil Line police station reached the spot, identified the body and started investigation. According to the information, Sanjeev Kumar Sahu (35 years) was going to Balco to do duty in first shift on Thursday morning. During this time, at around 9 am in the morning, a tractor filled with sand while driving carelessly hit Sanjeev. This was the reason of his death. After the accident, a crowd of passers-by gathered and information was given to 112 and Civil Line police station.After this, Sanjeev was immediately taken to the District Medical College, where the doctors declared him dead during investigation.

The name of the deceased was Sanjeev Kumar Sahu. He was originally from Odisha. Presently lived in Risadi, Korba. Sanjeev used to work in Vedanta Company of Balco. Anish Singh, side incharge of Sanjeev’s company, said that he got information on phone that he had met with an accident near Risdi. When he reached the spot, he was sent to the District Medical College Hospital. It was only when the doctors at the hospital confirmed his death that she informed Sanjeev’s family. It is being told that Sanjeev was the only earning youth of the family and it had been only 3 years since his marriage. Sanjeev also has a two-month old son. After this incident, the family members are in bad condition and crying. The tractor driver fled from the spot after the accident. Civil Line police station has registered a case against the absconding tractor driver and started investigation.
