Young man commits suicide after returning from New Year party

Raipur. On the night of 31 December, 28 year old businessman Shubham Sharma committed suicide by hanging himself in Kushalpur of Purani Basti police station area of Raipur. When Shubham returned from the New Year party, he had a dispute with his family. Angered by this, he hanged himself in the porch outside the house. According to the family, Shubham had gone to party after 10 pm. When he returned home at 12 o’clock in the night, there was a dispute with his family members. After the dispute, he closed the door of the house from outside and committed suicide by hanging himself with a plastic water pipe in the staircase. As soon as the family saw him, they called dial 112 and informed. He was taken to hospital, where he died.

Shubham Sharma lived with his uncle in his grandparents’ house. His mother died of cancer and father died in a road accident. Shubham had completed his BCA studies. He had opened a shop in Amleshwar some time ago. According to close friends, he also had a dispute with his girlfriend a few days ago. Girlfriend had blocked his number. Due to which he remained troubled. Purani Basti police station in-charge Sudhanshu Baghel said that after receiving information about the incident, the body was sent for postmortem. The reason why the young man committed suicide is not clear. The family members are also being interrogated regarding the incident.
