Young man absconds after killing old woman, stick recovered from the spot

Korba. In Korba, a young man entered the house and attacked a 70 year old woman with a stick. Hearing the screams late in the night, people arrived and admitted him to the local hospital, from where he was referred to the Medical College Hospital after the CHC. An old woman died during treatment here.

According to the information, Itwarin Bai Manjhwar (70 years) lived alone in village Chirhant under Shyang police station. As usual, she was sleeping in her house after having dinner on Tuesday night. At around 11.30 pm, nearby people including Ganesh, who lives in the neighbourhood, heard shouting coming from his house. They ran to Itwarin’s house, where they found the old woman lying in a pool of blood.

When asked, the old woman informed that a young man had entered the house, abused her and attacked her with a stick. Neighbors immediately admitted him to the primary health center in Shyang for treatment. On getting information about the incident, nephew Birsingh reached the hospital. The old lady’s daughter Ratiyano Bai told that she got the information over the phone and reached the spot. His mother was attacked by Dhobiram, a youth from the same village. Dhobiram attacked his mother while under the influence of alcohol. After committing the crime, Dhobiram absconded from the spot.
