Yavatmal: PM Modi will gift projects worth Rs 35,000 crore in Yavatmal today

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra on Wednesday evening where he will inaugurate and inaugurate several projects and schemes worth about Rs 35 thousand crore in Yavatmal city of Vidarbha region. These include railway, road and irrigation infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 4,900 crore, officials said here. The 16th installment of approximately Rs 21 thousand crore will be released under the PM-Kisan scheme. The second and third installments of Rs 3,800 crore will be released under Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi. Rs 825 crore of revolving fund will be distributed to five and a half lakh women self-help groups. Apart from this he will launch Modi Awas Gharkul Yojana and distribute one crore Ayushman cards.
The Prime Minister will reach Yavatmal, the hub of farmer suicides, at around 4.30 pm. There he will dedicate several development projects worth Rs 4,900 crore and release benefits under PM-Kisan and other schemes at a public event. Two lakh women are expected to participate in the program. PM will release the 16th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi worth Rs 21 thousand crore in the accounts of the beneficiaries. With this, transfer of more than Rs 3 lakh crore to more than 11 crore farmer families will be completed under this scheme.
The second and third installment of Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi of approximately Rs 3,800 crore will benefit 88 lakh farmers of Maharashtra and an additional amount of Rs six thousand per year will be provided to the beneficiaries. In addition to the revolving fund provided under the government’s National Rural Livelihood Mission, a revolving fund of Rs 825 crore will be provided to 5,50,000 women self-help groups in the state. Prime Minister Modi will launch the distribution of one crore Ayushman cards across Maharashtra.
Modi Awas Gharkul Yojana will be launched for the OBC category in which it is envisaged to construct a total of 10 lakh houses from 2023-2024 to 2025-2026. The PM will transfer the first installment of Rs 375 crore to 2.5 lakh beneficiaries of this scheme. The PM will dedicate to the nation several irrigation projects in the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions that have been developed at a cost of over Rs 2,750 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) and Baliraja Jal Sanjeevani Yojana (BJSY).
He will inaugurate several railway projects worth over Rs 1300 crore, including the Wardha-Kalamb broad gauge line (part of the Wardha-Yavatmal-Nanded new broad gauge line project) and the New Ashti-Amalner broad gauge line (part of the Ahmednagar-Beed-Parli new Part of the Broad Gauge Line Project). This will boost connectivity in both the areas. The Prime Minister will virtually flag off two train services – one connecting Kalamb and Wardha, and the other connecting Amalner and New Ashti – which will prove to be a boon for students, businessmen and daily commuters in the region. On the roads front, the PM will dedicate four-laning of Warora-Wani section of NH-930, upgradation projects for important roads connecting Sakoli-Bhandara and Salaikhurd-Tirora. He will inaugurate a statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay in Yavatmal city.
