World World: Renault and Nissan on Monday announced changes to their 20-year-old partnership agreement. Under the changes, the two companies have agreed to reduce their cross-shareholdings from 15% to 10%. The move is aimed at supporting Nissan’s reconstruction. In addition, Nissan has also been freed from investing 600 million euros in Renault’s electric vehicle unit, “Ampere”.

In addition, Renault plans to buy a majority stake in Nissan’s Indian joint venture “Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Limited”, which is expected to be completed in the first half of this year.
