Work Towards Ensuring Justice for the Oppressed and Deprived – CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the Jashpur District Bar Association at the Jashpur District Court. He administered the oath to the newly elected members and extended his best wishes, emphasizing their commitment to judicial service. The event was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed, Additional District and Sessions Judge Janardan Khare, MLAs Gomti Sai and Raimuni Bhagat, along with several distinguished dignitaries.

The newly sworn-in office-bearers included President Om Prakash Sai, Senior Vice President Janardan Prasad Sinha, Junior Vice President Deepika Kujur, Secretary Satya Prakash Tiwari, Treasurer Suchendra Kumar Singh, Librarian Gopal Prasad Ravani, and Sports & Cultural Secretary Satyendra Jolhe. Congratulating them, CM Sai stated that the judiciary is the backbone of democracy, and lawyers play a crucial role in upholding justice. He urged legal professionals to work with dedication and commitment to expedite judicial processes, ensuring that even the most underprivileged sections of society receive timely justice.

Historical Role of Jashpur Bar Association and Legacy of Justice

Highlighting the historical contributions of the Jashpur Bar Association, CM Sai acknowledged its consistent role in promoting social justice and legal services. He paid tribute to eminent legal personalities such as Bharatchand Kabra, Balasaheb Deshpande, and Narhari Sai, who played key roles in ensuring justice for the oppressed and marginalized. Encouraging the legal fraternity to uphold this legacy, he emphasized the importance of protecting people’s rights and making justice accessible to all.

₹1 Crore Announced for Bar Council Renovation and E-Library

Taking a significant step towards modernizing legal infrastructure, CM Sai announced a financial grant of ₹1 crore for the renovation of the Bar Council and the establishment of an e-library. He stated that in today’s digital era, an e-library would provide lawyers and law students with seamless access to the latest legal updates and reference materials. This initiative aims to enhance judicial efficiency and offer better study and research opportunities for budding legal professionals.

Unbreakable Bond Between Judiciary and Bar Association – Principal District Judge

Speaking at the event, Principal District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed emphasized the inseparable relationship between the judiciary and the bar association. He called upon legal professionals to work collaboratively in strengthening the rule of law and ensuring that legal aid reaches the last mile of society. Other speakers shared insights on the role of lawyers in society, the importance of legal assistance, and measures to enhance the efficiency of the judicial system.

The event witnessed the presence of Collector Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh, Pawan Sai, Krishna Kumar Rai, Rampratap Singh, along with senior advocates and esteemed guests.
