Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Saw today reviewed the progress of development works and implementation of schemes by holding a meeting of officials of all the urban bodies of the division at Surguja divisional headquarters Ambikapur. In the meeting held at Ambikapur Collectorate, he instructed the officials to prepare an action plan for the planned and systematic development of cities and work accordingly. He asked the Commissioners of Municipal Corporations and Chief Municipal Officers of Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats to work in better coordination with the engineers and complete all the works within the time limit with quality. He instructed to give top priority to the works of development and development of public facilities. Secretary of Urban Administration Department Dr. Basavaraju S. and Collector of Surguja Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan were also present in the review meeting.

Deputy Chief Minister Saw strictly instructed the officers in the meeting that they should understand their responsibility seriously, disinterest and negligence in work will be absolutely unforgivable. Action will definitely be ensured against those who do not work. He said that the state government is providing full cooperation for the development of the bodies. Officers should not be indifferent, work with enthusiasm. Any kind of laxity in work will not be tolerated. He told the engineers in clear words that there should be no delay in the work. Spend time on the field as well and ensure quality in construction works. Send the information and proposals sought by the government in a systematic manner.
Saw took information from the officers in the meeting about the marking of sites for the construction of Atal complex in all the urban bodies of Surguja division. For this, he asked all CMOs to send their proposals to the concerned collectors as soon as possible. He instructed to start working on this immediately after Diwali. He also asked all CMOs to prepare for the Swachhata Survey with full vigor. In the meeting, Sao also instructed to ensure systematic and planned development and cleanliness and beauty in all urban bodies with better coordination of every department. Additional Director of Urban Administration Department Pulak Bhattacharya and Joint Director of Ambikapur Regional Office S.K. Sundarani, along with the Commissioners of all Municipal Corporations of Surguja Division, Chief Municipal Officers of Nagar Palikas and Nagar Panchayats and Engineers were also present in the review meeting.
