Women’s group duped of Rs 3.5 lakh, three arrested
City Kotwali has arrested 3 other accused in the fraud case of the year 2020. According to the police, from 14.04.16 to 30.04.16, Mahila Samuh Rampur Ward Dhamtari, in order to provide employment to Rukmani Sahu, soap, papad, dona pattal work and dona pattal machine, the accused Rukmani and Mitan Seva Samiti have cheated the applicant and other women of a total of Rs. 3,55,000/- by making false promises of providing dona pattal machine. On the report of the applicant, FIR 22/20 under section 420 IPC was registered in City Kotwali Police Station Dhamtari and investigation was taken up.
During the investigation, the statement of the applicant and the women of the women’s group and other women was taken and the receipt and cheque, agreement given by the accused to Mitan Seva Samiti have been seized. Accused Rukmani Sahu, wife of Purushottam Sahu, age 40 years, resident of Baniyapara Dhamtari, was already arrested. On finding evidence of crime against the above accused, they have been duly arrested today and sent on judicial remand. City Kotwali Police
