Woman’s life saved by removing 10kg tumor from stomach, successful operation in Sims

Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, the doctors of SIMS have given life to a woman by performing abdominal surgery. The woman had a tumor weighing more than 10 kg in her stomach, which the doctors removed through surgery. The victim woman had lost the battle for life after going to the hospital and was suffering from stomach pain. SIMS Hospital Superintendent Dr. S. Nayak said that the patient Lagani Bai’s wife Harishankar (35) is a resident of Chilahati. She was suffering from stomach pain for the last one year. There was swelling in his stomach, which was continuously increasing. She was fed up of visiting the private hospital.

During this time, the distressed woman reached the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of SIMS for treatment. During the examination, Dr. Sangeeta Raman Jogi, HOD of the Gynecological Department, examined her and got her sonography done. The investigation revealed that the woman had a tumor weighing more than 10 kg in her ovary, due to which the woman looked like she was pregnant. Due to which he was having trouble breathing and the problem was continuously increasing.

After examination, the doctors decided to perform surgery on the woman and remove the tumor and admitted the woman for treatment. On Saturday, Dr. Sangeeta Jogi and her team performed the woman’s surgery. During this, a tumor weighing more than 10 kg was cut and removed. The woman is admitted to Sims and is receiving health benefits.
