Woman washed away in Parvati river while taking photos in Manikaran

Kullu. While clicking photographs in the tourist city of Manikaran, a female tourist from Haryana fell into the overflowing Parvati river, due to which she died. The body of this female tourist was found on Thursday near Sumaropa, some distance from the incident site, after about 21 hours. The police took the body into custody. A tourist couple from Haryana had come to visit Manikaran valley. This couple had stayed near Katagla. Last Wednesday evening, both of them landed on the banks of Parvati river and started clicking photographs, but while clicking photographs, the female tourist lost her control over the circular stones on the banks of Parvati river and fell into the river. Police and rescue teams started the search operation, but could not find her in the overflowing Parvati river in the evening. The search operation stopped at night. On Thursday afternoon, the body of the woman was found at a place called Sumaropa. The police took the body into custody and sent it to Kullu for postmortem. SP Kullu Dr. Gokulchandran has confirmed the incident.
