Woman selling Mahua liquor arrested

Janjgir. The woman has been arrested with 25 liters of raw Mahua liquor. Continuous action is being taken by the district police to curb illegal liquor sale. In the same sequence, information was received from the informer that the accused Sita resident of Loharsi is selling liquor illegally. On the basis of this information, raid action was taken. Raw Mahua liquor kept in a jar from the possession of the accused, a total of 25 liters of Jumla liquor worth ₹ 2500 was recovered. Crime number 526/23 was registered against the accused in Police Station Shivrinarayan under Section 34 (2) Excise Act and proper action was taken and the accused was duly arrested and sent on judicial remand on 20.12.2023.

In the above proceedings, Ashok Dwivedi police station in-charge Shivrinarayan, sub-inspector Santosh Singh Thakur, constable Teras Sahu, lady constable Sarojini Katkwar had commendable contribution.
