Woman riding a bike returning from a wedding program dies in an accident

Raigarh. In Sisaranga valley under Dharamjaigarh police station area, a heavy vehicle hit a bike rider returning from a wedding program, due to which the woman died while two bike riders were injured. Dharamjaygarh police reached the spot and took legal action and investigated the matter. According to the information, Mariam Tirkey (50), husband Ramdev, resident of village Newar, along with her relatives Nicholas Tirkey (26), father Ajit, Sundar Tigga (24) father Bahal, had come to Sisaringa for marriage at the house of a family relative.

After attending the wedding ceremony, the women were returning home to Newar in bike number CG 13 J 1888. Then a heavy vehicle hit the bike near Sisaringa village. Due to which both the youth riding the bike ran away. The woman died on the spot after being hit by the vehicle. As soon as the information about the accident was received, Dharamjaigarh police reached the spot and started investigating the case by registering a crime against the driver of the unknown heavy vehicle.
