Woman manager arrested, CRPC takes cognizance of incident of assault with girls in Kanker

Kanker. Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Tejkunwar Netam, has ordered to take immediate cognizance of the case and register the case as soon as the news and video of the merciless beating of girls in Kanker’s adoption agency comes to the notice. Commission member Augustine Bernad has been instructed to go to the spot of the incident in Kanker and conduct a detailed investigation and provide the report immediately, who will conduct the investigation on the spot today itself and submit the report. Expressing strong objection to such incidents in children’s residential institutions, Child Rights Protection Commission Chairman Tejkunwar Netam said that the Commission will take very strict action against such negligence and brutality and gross violation of children’s rights. Please tell that the manager of the adoption center has been taken into custody by the police. Crime has been registered against manager Seema Dwivedi under serious sections.

Pratigya Vikas Sansthan Specialized Adoption Agency Kanker has been suspended by Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla with immediate effect. It is noteworthy that on receiving a complaint against the Specialized Adoption Agency Kanker, a surprise inspection of the said institution was conducted by the joint team of the Directorate of Women and Child Development last day. According to the preliminary facts found in the inspection, on confirmation of the veracity of the complaint, Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla has suspended Pratigya Vikas Sansthan, Specialized Adoption Agency, Kanker with immediate effect.
