Raigarh. A woman selling Mahua liquor illegally at her home in village Kanthardi was caught by the team of Kotra Road Police and Cyber Cell in a raid based on information received from an informant. A huge quantity of illicit liquor has been seized from the possession of the accused woman.

In the same sequence, yesterday, on the information of Rajkumari Sidar, a woman living in Dongripara of village Kantahardi, selling Mahua illegally at home, under the guidance of Cyber ​​Cell Supervisory Officer Mr. Deepak Mishra and DSP (IUCW) Nikita Tiwari, Kotra Road Police Station and Cyber Cell. A joint team was prepared and liquor raid was carried out in village Kanthardi.

In the raid operation, suspected woman Rajkumari Sidar was in possession of 100 liters of Mahua liquor filled in a 100 liter capacity plastic drum and 20 liters of Mahua liquor filled in 02 white colored plastic jars of 10-10 liter capacity, a total of 120 liters of Mahua liquor worth Rs 12,000. was found which was duly confiscated. At the same time, about 50 sacks kept for making Mahua liquor illegally were destroyed by the joint team of police in front of the villagers of Mahua pass, the utensils for making liquor were confiscated and brought to the police station. Action has been taken under Section 34 (2), 59 (A) of the Excise Act in Kotra Road police station against the actions of the accused Rajkumari Sidar, husband Umit Sidar, age 45, Dongripara, Kantahardi police station, Kotra Road district, Raigarh.
