Woman gang-raped in Palwal, case registered against 4
A married woman has filed a complaint that she was gang-raped by three people here. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
The complainant told the police that she had been separated from her husband, with whom she had married in 2019, for demanding dowry. She was living with her minor son. “I met a man in my son’s school, Anil Kumar. He assured me to resolve marital discord with my husband with the help of a ‘tantrik’,” she said in the complaint.
Last month, the woman agreed to see the ‘tantrik’. “When I was going to meet the ‘tantrik’ with Anil in his car, two more people came on the way. He offered me a drink. I fainted after drinking it,” she added in the complaint.
The woman was taken to a house in the village where three men raped her. “The accused also made a video and took photographs of the incident. The woman said that if I could not divorce my husband, he also threatened to upload the video on social media.
The woman lodged a complaint with the police on Saturday and told the police that she had received the video of the incident on April 12. She said that her husband could be involved in the incident.
Police have registered a case against her husband and four people, including Anil, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including rape, and the Information Technology Act.
