Woman died in the police station, police said – she had reached there after drinking poison
Bilaspur. A woman committed suicide by consuming poison in Sirgitti police station. She had a dispute with her husband 15 days ago. Due to which she went to Mumbai. On Sunday morning, instead of returning home, the woman went straight to the police station and committed suicide.
Actually, Chanda Singh (28 years), resident of Kota, used to work as a labourer. About 6 years ago, she had a love marriage with Shankar Saket, resident of Ganesh Nagar. They also have a 6-year-old son. But the husband doubted his wife’s character. Due to which there used to be disputes between the two every day.
TI Naveen Dewangan told that the woman had come from outside after drinking poison after a fight with her husband. He did not inform the police about this. She was sitting in the police station premises. When the policemen interrogated her, she said that she would lodge a complaint against her husband.
After some time her husband came to the police station. He informed the police about his wife drinking poison, then she was taken to the hospital for treatment. The woman did not make any complaint in the police station nor did the police refuse to register an FIR.
